25th Anniversary - 9/11 Memorial Service

This Sept. 11th marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Flight 93 where nearly 3,000 lives were lost. It is a moment in America’s history that Calvary Baptist Church continues to remember and ensures that we never forget all those who died that day or the 7,000 servicemembers lost fighting in the global war on terrorism following the attacks. 

At 9:00 a.m. on September 11, 2026, we will hold a 9/11 Memorial Service in the sanctuary of our church.  This service is an opportunity to honor, reflect, and unite in remembrance as we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. 

We invite you to worship with us on this very solemn occasion as we honor the victims and remember their lives.

A Prayer of Remembrance

"God of compassion, we remember the sorrow of this day.
We hold in prayer the innocent lives lost in New York, at the Pentagon, and in Pennsylvania.
We honor the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger.
We lift up the families who still grieve and carry the weight of that loss.
Lord, know our fear, our pain, and our brokenness.
Let your mercy bring healing and hope.
Breathe peace into our world, and strengthen us to be makers of peace, justice, and kindness, turning away from hatred and division.
May love be the last word, now and forever.
