BELMAR, N.J. — On Sunday, November 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Calvary Baptist Church will formally celebrate the installation of its new permanent spiritual leader, Rev. Dwayne M. Doyle.

A Journey of Faith and Service

Pastor Doyle, an ordained minister with the American Baptist Churches USA (ABC-USA) since 1992, brings decades of diverse ministerial experience to Belmar. His extensive background includes serving as an associate pastor, senior pastor, transitional interim pastor, and most recently as a mission partnership coordinator. He has led congregations across New Jersey, California, and Washington, and even served alongside his family as a missionary in Central Asia.

Academically, Pastor Doyle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion, a Master of Divinity with a minor in Urban Studies, and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies. He is also currently advancing his education within a Doctor of Ministry program focusing on Eastern Christian Studies.

The Installation Service

The formal installation ceremony will feature traditional components of affirmation and charging. Leaders from the ABC-USA regional ministry will join local deacons to officially install Pastor Doyle, presenting him with symbols of pastoral leadership and community care.

The service will feature a powerful sermon emphasizing global and local mission work, reflecting Pastor Doyle’s own conviction that Christians must act as a light in the community, as well as uplifting spiritual music provided by the Calvary Baptist Church Adult Choir.

Looking to the Future

The installation marks the end of a long and prayerful pastoral search by the congregation. With Pastor Doyle and his family transitioning to the church parsonage, Calvary Baptist Church is already looking toward expanding its local community outreach.

Among the church’s immediate upcoming initiatives under his leadership is a specialized GriefShare class, scheduled for Saturday, November 21, designed to support local residents navigating the difficult holiday season after losing a loved one.  For a complete list of the numerous offerings at CBC under Pastor Dwayne's leadership, please access the "events" tab of the church website:  www.cbcbelmar.org

Calvary Baptist Church continues to host its weekly services both in-person and via Zoom, keeping its community interconnected through modern avenues.
