Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026, and ends on Holy Thursday, April 2, 2026, leading into the Easter celebrations.  It is a 40-day period of reflection and preparation leading up to Easter.  These days mirror the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness before his ministry. 

We invite you to worship with us at Calvary Baptist Church during this Lenten season.  Together we will take this spiritual journey to deepen our relationship with God through self-denial and focusing on the true meaning of Jesus' suffering and eventual resurrection, allowing for a more profound celebration of Easter joy.

Lenten Worship Services

  • Wednesday, February 18, 2026:  7:00 p.m. - Ash Wednesday Prayer and Contemplation Service.  This in-person service will take place at Calvary Baptist Church, 600 13th Avenue, Belmar, New Jersey.
  • Lenten worship services are offered each Sunday during Lent - February 22nd, March 1st, March 8th, March 15th, March 22nd, and March 29th.  Please join us via either our 9:00 a.m. zoom service (Meeting ID: 826 8176 0283 / Passcode: 439758) or at our 10:30 a.m. in-person worship service (Calvary Baptist Church, 600 13th Avenue, Belmar, NJ).
