June, 2026
I can’t believe we are already in June of 2026. There are so many signs of summer, i.e., Memorial Day has come and gone, baseball is in full swing, new flowers are beginning to bloom, schools will soon end, proms are already happening, and for the church, Pentecost and the beginning of the regular church calendar year has begun.
For my family, this has been an interesting season. We are planning on moving to the church parsonage during the month of June. Please pray for all to go smoothly.
On Tues. May 26th, my wife Janet lost her mother of 103 years, Mrs. Marion Rea. We are so grateful for everyone’s cards, texts, flowers, gifts, and comforting words during this grievous period. Thank you all for your kindness.
Our daughter Sarah began her apprenticeship with a Christian Aid Organization on May 12th and was stationed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). On May 15th, the Ebola Virus outbreak was reported in her area. Please keep Sarah and her team in your prayers as they help those who are suffering from this crisis.
Recently at our church, we started 42 days or (six weeks) of prayer for America. As a former mission pastor and missionary, my focus has often been on other countries. But of course, America needs prayer as well! So, please join us as we ask God to help our country. Our last official Sunday of prayer will be June 28th.
Lastly, I want to wish all of you fathers a Happy Father’s Day on June 21st. In lieu of this holiday, I would like to start a new men’s fellowship outreach. Men need a place to share their joys and struggles. Please join me on Sat. July 11th at 8am in the conference room across from the church office. I hope to continue this group on the first Saturday of each month.
Looking forward to our family being your new neighbors in Belmar!
Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. Dwayne M. Doyle
P.S.: Thanks for all the work the church has put into making the parsonage ready for our families’ move. And a special thanks to Wendy Dart for her work oversight at the parsonage and to her son Pat. May God bless you both on your own moves and work situations.
